For matters relating to the protection of personal data, please contact the Controller at: kontakt@zdamyteorie.pl.

The Website is educational in nature and is designed to support study for the driving theory exam.

2. Scope of the Policy

The Policy covers data processed in connection with using the Website, sending messages via the contact form, email contact with the Controller, saving settings, preferences, statistics and technical information related to the operation of the Website, ensuring the security of the Website and preventing abuse, conducting internet analytics and displaying advertisements, if such functionality is activated.

As of the date of publication of this version of the Policy, the Website does not provide registration, login or user account functionality.

3. What data may be processed

Depending on how the Website is used, the Controller may process data voluntarily provided in the contact form or email, including full name, email address, subject of inquiry, message content and other data voluntarily provided by the user.

The Controller may also process technical and operational data related to the use of the Website, including IP address, approximate information about the device and browser, operating system data, information about the date and time of the request, addresses of visited subpages and data saved in server logs.

The Website may save locally in the user's browser: interface settings, progress information, local statistics related to the use of tests, auxiliary information used to limit the repetition of the same questions, and other technical data necessary for the correct operation of selected functionalities.

4. Purposes and legal bases for processing

The Controller may process data for the purpose of: handling contact and responding to messages, ensuring the correct operation of the Website, saving the user's settings and preferences, maintaining technical statistics and local statistics on test use, preventing abuse, protecting the security of the Website, and establishing, pursuing or defending claims — on the basis of the legitimate interest of the Controller.

Internet analytics and the display of advertisements and measurement of their effectiveness may take place on the basis of the user's consent, if required by applicable law.

5. Contact form and email contact

If a user contacts the Controller via the contact form or email, the data provided is processed to the extent necessary to handle the message, provide a response and conduct further correspondence in the matter.

The contact form may include the following fields: full name, email address, subject of inquiry (including, for example: "Question error", "Technical issues", "Billing", "Other"), and message content.

Providing data is voluntary, but in practice may be necessary to receive a response. The Controller asks that users do not provide excessive data or special category data in messages unless necessary.

6. Server logs and security

Using the Website involves sending requests to the server, which are technically recorded in server logs.

Logs may include in particular: IP address, date and time of the request, information about the browser and operating system, URL of the referring page, and information about technical errors.

Data contained in logs is used primarily for technical, administrative and security purposes, diagnosing errors and preventing abuse.

7. Cookies, localStorage and similar technologies

The Website may use cookies and similar technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage, to the extent necessary for the correct operation of the page and selected functions.

These technologies may serve to: maintain the correct operation of the interface, save the user's preferences, save progress or settings related to solving tests, limit excessive repetition of the same questions on the same device or in the same browser, maintain local statistics on the operation of tests and educational functions, conduct internet analytics, display advertisements, and protect the Website from abuse.

The Controller may use analytical tools, including Google Analytics, and Google or other providers' advertising tools, if they are activated on the Website.

To the extent that regulations require consent for the use of cookies or similar technologies for analytical or advertising purposes, these tools will only be activated after the user's appropriate consent has been obtained.

Data saved locally in the browser may be deleted by the user by clearing browser data or changing browser settings. This may, however, result in the loss of saved settings, progress or some functionalities.

8. Recipients and processors

Data may be entrusted or made available to entities used by the Controller in running the Website, only to the extent necessary for the purpose in question, in particular: hosting or server infrastructure providers, email service providers, technical, IT, security or Website maintenance service providers, analytical tool providers, advertising system providers, and entities supporting the Controller in handling correspondence, pursuing claims or protecting rights.

If Google tools are activated on the Website, Google may also be a recipient of data to the extent resulting from the operation of those tools and the consents given by the user.

Data may also be made available to authorised public authorities if such an obligation arises from legal provisions.

9. Data retention periods

Correspondence data is retained for the period necessary to handle the matter and conduct further correspondence, and then for the time needed for archiving or defending against claims.

Technical data and server logs are retained for a period resulting from security needs, error analysis, anti-abuse measures and the configuration of technical services.

Data saved locally in the browser is retained until deleted by the user, until it expires, or until the Website's operation changes.

10. Rights of the data subject

In cases provided for by law, the user has the right to: access their data, rectify their data, delete their data, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, data portability — where applicable — and lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

To exercise these rights, please contact the Controller at: kontakt@zdamyteorie.pl.

11. Voluntary nature of data provision

Providing data is, as a general rule, voluntary.

In some cases, failure to provide data may prevent submission of the contact form, receipt of a response or the correct operation of certain functions.

12. Profiling and automated decision-making

As of the date of publication of this version of the Policy, users' personal data is not used to make decisions against them that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect them in a solely automated manner.

The Website may use technical mechanisms that affect the operation of tests, their convenience or the order of presentation of certain content; however, their purpose is to improve the functionality and quality of the Website, not to make decisions within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

13. Transfers outside the EEA

As of the date of publication of this version of the Policy, the Controller does not envisage transferring personal data outside the European Economic Area, unless this results from the use of a specific technical service provider.

If such transfers take place in the future, the Controller will apply the appropriate legal bases and safeguards required by law.

14. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Controller may update this Privacy Policy in particular in the event of changes to legal provisions, technological changes, development of the Website, implementation of new functions or a change of service providers or the Website's operating model.

The current version of the Policy will be published on the Website together with its effective date.
